Our Start

The owner, Ryan Borntrager, is a Goshen native and started rock climbing over six year ago with some friends. He wanted to continue to improve his climbing, but was getting frustrated at having to drive over an hour away to do so. So, he built a climbing wall in his parent’s barn for he and his friends to enjoy. It was great and they all loved it, but Ryan wanted more. In a desire to bring climbing to others in the community, he decided to leave his job and start a climbing gym. Since he already had the other wall in the barn, he started by opening that up to some in the public, Goshen Climbing Club, while renovating the current building that now houses Warehouse Climbing Co.

Warehouse Climbing Co. officially opened in May 2022 after two years of renovations and in May 2023, the gym had their first climbing competition to celebrate their one-year anniversary.
